DiSC® PPSS

DiSC® PPSS is the DiSC® Profile I use with my clients. While DiSC® Classic 2.0 is perfect when you want to teach clients about the DiSC® model and/or perhaps have a limited budget, the DiSC® PPSS version gives much more depth and breadth of information about the individual client.

If you’ve ever used assessments before, you’ve probably noticed that most people are more interested in themselves and their own results than they are in other people’s results, right? We all want to know more about who we are and why we act the way we do. That’s human nature – natural and normal. Until people have that need met, they generally are not that interested in the behavior of others – much less a “model” of behavior!

My philosophy is “let’s use that to the client’s advantage”. If people are most interested in themselves, let’s start there and give them as much information about themselves as we can.

I have found this to be a very effective strategy because, as I’m sure you’ve also observed, as people get to know themselves better they begin to realize that self-knowledge can help them understand others. No matter their DiSC® profile, once we get into discussion about their results, clients start talking about co-workers, supervisors, family members and friends – offering their own contrasts and comparisons and asking about the other patterns.
